Three Generations of Olive Farming
Our family has tended olive trees in the hills of the Aegean region near Izmir since 1952. What started as a small grove has become a passion passed down through generations.
Our Story
It started with my grandfather in 1952. He planted his first olive trees on a small plot of land in the hills outside Izmir in the Aegean region—an area that has grown olives for thousands of years.
Back then, olive oil was simply part of life. Every family had their trees, every village had its press. The oil we made was for ourselves, our neighbours, and whoever needed some.
My father expanded the grove and modernised our equipment, but never lost the care and attention that made our oil special. He taught me to taste the difference between rushed oil and oil made with patience.
When I moved to Australia, I missed that taste. The oils on supermarket shelves just weren't the same—flat, flavourless, nothing like the peppery, vibrant oil I grew up with. That's when I decided to bring our family's oil to Australia.
Why Nifolia?
Nifolia isn't just a brand name—it's a promise. A promise that every tin of oil you open comes from our family's trees, pressed with the same care we've used for three generations.
We don't buy oil from brokers or blend from multiple sources. Every drop is traceable to our grove. When you taste Nifolia, you're tasting our land, our climate, our family's work.
This is the oil I want on my own table—and now, on yours.
Our Values
These principles guide everything we do, from how we tend our trees to how we treat our customers.
Honesty
We tell you exactly where your oil comes from. No blending, no middlemen, no mystery ingredients. What's in the tin is what we say it is.
Quality
We could make more oil faster, but we wouldn't be proud of it. We take our time to do it right—cold extraction, small batches, careful handling.
Connection
We want you to feel connected to where your food comes from. When you use our oil, you're part of our family's story.
Looking Forward
Today, Nifolia serves customers across Australia. But our ambition goes further. We're building a brand that will one day bring Aegean olive oil to kitchens in the UK, USA, and Europe.
Our goal isn't to become the biggest olive oil company. It's to show people what real olive oil tastes like—and to prove that a small family farm can compete with anyone on quality.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Every tin you buy supports our family and helps us share our passion with more people.
