Our Story

From our hillside near Izmir
to your kitchen in Australia

Nestled in the hills near Izmir, our family's groves have grown olives for generations. Warm dry summers, cool wet winters, and hillside drainage give the trees everything they need — we do the rest by hand.

Çakırbeyli · Torbalı · İzmir

The village has a name.

Our grove is in Çakırbeyli, a village in the hills above Torbalı, inland from İzmir. Our family has farmed olives there since 1890. The Ottoman provincial record of the following year counts 236 people living in the village, across 38 households. It is still a small place.

Five generations later, the trees are the same trees.

Nifolia family working the olive harvest

One variety, one terroir

We grow Memecik — a heritage Aegean variety known for an intensely flavoured, peppery finish. It suits our soil, and it’s the only thing in the tin.

Every olive is hand-picked at peak ripeness, then cold-extracted within 24 hours — no heat, no shortcuts, no blending with oil from anywhere else.

Why we're bringing it to
Australia

Most oil on supermarket shelves has sat for months before it's even bottled. Ours ships direct from harvest — small batches, sold in person at Australian markets and online, so it reaches you as close to the press date as possible.

Every tin is traceable to our grove. No blending, no middlemen — just honest olive oil from our trees to your table.
